Minister Attaf receives a phone call from his Portuguese counterpart
The Minister of Foreign Affairs and the National Community abroad, Mr. Ahmed Attaf, received a phone call from his Portuguese counterpart, Joao Cravinho with whom he discussed relations between the two countries tied since 2005 by a treaty of friendship, good neighborhood and cooperation.
The discussions focused on strengthening cooperation relations between the two countries and intensifying bilateral political dialogue especially in anticipation of important bilateral events planned in the near future.
The two parties reviewed the issues of common interest in the two Mediterranean shores, welcoming, at the same time, the convergence of views and positions between the two countries based on their commitment to the objectives and principles of the United Nations Charter and their mutual willingness to contribute actively to efforts to resolve the crises and conflicts that threaten peace and security in the region and the world.
