The President of the Republic: The National People's Army has become a higher school of patriotism
ALGIERS — President of the Republic, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Minister of National Defence, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, affirmed on Thursday that the People's National Army (PNA) has become a higher school of patriotism, of the fierce defense of the sanctity of the national territory and of faithfulness to the legacy of 1 November 1954. During his visit to the headquarters of the National Defense Ministry, the President of the Republic met with the officers and personnel of the PNA, and delivered an address that was broadcast, via videoconference, to all Force Commands, the six Military Regions, major units and military schools nationwide. The President affirmed that "the PNA, which has adapted to hybrid and cyber warfare as well as artificial intelligence, now represents a higher school of patriotism, fierce defense of national territory sanctity, and faithfulness to the legacy of 1 November 1954." The President of the Republic added that "the favorable investment climate currently prevailing in Algeria and the influx of both domestic and foreign investors result from the security stability maintained by the PNA and Security Forces." He also applauded the role of the PNA and various security institutions in combating drug trafficking, which seeks to "undermine the foundations of society, particularly our youth," through attempts to "flood Algeria with drugs to destroy the country's future and its main pillar: young people." At the conclusion of his address, the President extended his best wishes to the national football team ahead of their match against Somalia, as part of the qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup. APS
